Stage 1 - Structural Planning
Sometimes, the biggest transformation comes from one design decision.
At the start of this project, the staircase was creating a major challenge. Positioned in the centre of the property, it was taking valuable space from both the ground and first floors, leaving the layout feeling restricted.
After studying the plans, I could see the potential to relocate the staircase. By moving it, we completely opened up the flow of the home, creating a brighter, more spacious layout across both levels.
The developer immediately agreed, telling me the staircase had been causing him sleepless nights. He couldn’t understand why it had originally been placed in the middle of the house, and this simple change unlocked the full potential of the property.
Good design isn’t just about choosing beautiful finishes—it’s about seeing possibilities that transform how a home looks, feels and functions.
