Found a piece of Larimar in my stash this afternoon and love the odd markings on it. They make me think of a bird's eye view of coral reefs. Bezel made - tomorrow it will be a chunky pendant.

Larimar is a rare gemstone and is only found in the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean. Its distinct color palette ranges from light blue to greenish-blue, with white to deep blue streaks, mirroring the Caribbean sea and sky.

I was lucky enough to be given a few pieces and would someday love to have a high grade piece.
