We also offer workshops where you can make your own fabulously fragranced soy wax candles. As well as Ready To Burn logs and kindling we offer unique gifts and cards, handmade soy wax candles and wax melts all handcrafted on the premises. There will also be a selection of beautiful handmade items, including pottery, feltwork and more from carefully selected crafts people.

✨️🕯 We are having an action packed weekend... first up Lotherton Hall on Thursday 29th October for a day full of Halloween fun and frolics with Real Markets
✨️🕯Saturday 31st October sees us back in Memorial Hall, Pickering with the lovely Bramble Berry Markets
✨️🕯 And Sunday 1st of November we will be back in Valley Gardens, Harrogate where things may be starting to get festive with Little Bird Markets

We are hosting Charles’s retirement party at the shop this Saturday (24th October) 🎉🎈 This is an open invite to anyone who has shopped with us before and wants to join us in giving Charles a great send-off into retired life!

He’s due with us at midday and will remain around into the evening time, so plenty of time to pop in and say hello 👋 It’s not a surprise do, so feel free to come along whenever best suits you 🥳

In case you haven’t heard, the shop itself isn’t going anywhere and will continue on just as you know it! We’ll also be open as usual on Saturday too in case you fancy a spot of shopping during your visit 👔👞

😃 Did you know...
🕯 100% pure soy wax does not make a pillar candle... too soft, you need to add another type of wax (usually a form of paraffin wax) to make it solid enough. Soy wax candles dribble
💡 We offer a refill service... When you have finished your favourite, fabulously fragranced soy wax candle, clean out the container, and as long as it is safe to use, we can refill it for you
🫧 To clean your candle container, boil some water, cool for 5 minutes and pour into your vessel. Leave overnight and the residual wax will have risen to the top and set. Pop this off and either compost it (soy wax is biodegradable) or dispose in a thoughtful way, then pop a piece of kitchen roll over your plug hole and pour the water away (soy wax is not water soluble). Clean the vessel with washing up liquid, rinse and dry. It is ready to be refilled
