Are you looking for a weekend activity for your child? Do they love art? Are they aged over 5 years?

🍂 We have a 3 WEEK MINI TERM of Saturday morning art and crafts classes 🍂

🎨 Week 1 – Autumn Woodland
🌻 Week 2 – Super Scarecrows
🏮 Week 3 – Glowing Autumn Lanterns

Each week we’ll explore different materials and techniques, with plenty of opportunity for the children to put their own personality and creativity into their artwork.

Life can be busy, noisy and full of responsibilities. Sometimes the best thing you can do is slow down, switch off and get creative.

If you need a bit of respite from the kids or the grandkids or your just looking for an evening with friends or family, then why not join me for an evening of painting and good company.

No experience is needed – just come as you are and enjoy the process.

You might look at a Paint & Pour class (or Paint and Sip class as they're often known as) and think, “But I can’t paint!” 🎨

Well… that’s exactly why you should come! 😊

My classes aren’t about being the best artist in the room, creating a masterpiece or getting everything “right”. They’re about having a go, learning something new, have a bit of fun whilst enjoying the company of others and giving yourself a couple of hours to switch off from everyday life.

I’ll be there to guide and encourage you whenever you need me, all of your materials are provided and my classes are small (maximum of 20 people) friendly and completely pressure-free.

Come on your own, bring a friend, your mam, dad, sister, brother, daughter, son or workmates — you’ll receive a warm and friendly welcome. 💕

Because sometimes we all need a little space to create, connect and feel good. 💜🎨

Life gets busy. There’s always something that needs doing, somewhere we need to be, or someone else who needs our attention.

But sometimes, two hours to yourself can make all the difference. 💕

Two hours to switch off.

That’s exactly what my Love Shaped Space Paint & Pour classes are all about. You don’t need to be artistic and you certainly don’t need to know how to paint — just come along, relax and have a go. I’ll guide you along the way and everything you need is provided.

Good morning peeps and hello September! 🍂

There’s something lovely about the start of September — the kids heading back to school, a little chill creeping into the air, darker evenings drawing in, autumn colours beginning to appear and that feeling that it’s time to slow down, cosy up and make a little more time for ourselves. 🧡

And what better way to do that than with an evening of painting, chatting and switching off from the everyday? 🎨🥂

My next Paint & Pour class is on Thursday 17 September, 6–8pm at The County Pub, South Shields. No artistic experience needed — just come along, relax, have a drink and enjoy creating something of your own.

A little Love Shaped Space update... 💚

Since retiring from the Civil Service last November, to pursue my new chapter in life, I've been working to grow my ARTventurers franchise, introducing babies, children and families across South Shields, Jarrow and Hebburn to the joy of art and creativity.

In January of this year, I shared the story behind Love Shaped Space and why this little business means so much to me. Thank you to everyone who took the time to read it, comment and support me - it truly meant a lot!

The past few months have been an exciting new chapter and a big learning curve, moving from a mainstream job to branching out on my own in self-employment, something I have never done before and at the age of 60, well a big leap of faith, but one I decided to take. It's also coming up to 10 years since Paul sadly passed and so much has happened, I've done things and met people I never thought I would, experiences and people that have supported and shaped me, helped me to face a different life than I ever imagined.

Through ARTventurers I've enjoyed watching little ones discover paint for the first time, seeing families meet and laugh together, and being apart of helping children grow in confidence has been an absolute privilege. I'm looking forward to growing my franchise and welcoming more children and families to my classes.

Because of that, apart from my monthly Paint & Pour evenings, I haven't had the time to attend as many markets or spend as many hours creating new artwork as I would have liked. But that doesn't mean Love Shaped Space has been standing still...

Behind the scenes I've been planning the next chapter. 🎨

Over the next couple of months I'll be launching my very first Love Shaped Space website, where you'll be able to browse my artwork, purchase prints and greetings cards, and keep up to date with everything I'm creating.

I'm also back at my painting table working on brand-new pieces, getting more of my artwork professionally printed as greetings cards and exploring lots of fresh ideas that I can't wait to share with you.

Love Shaped Space has always been about more than creating art. It's a life choice I have taken and it's about pursuing my passion, slowing down, connecting with others and remembering that creativity can be wonderfully healing.

So whether you've bought a card a piece of art, commissioned a painting, joined one of my Paint & Pour evenings or simply followed my journey, THANK YOU. Every like, comment, share and word of encouragement has helped me continue doing something I genuinely love and make that leap of faith all the more rewarding.

I honestly can't wait to share what's coming next. Thank you for being part of my journey so far - I hope you'll stay and follow me into the next chapter.

I've been a little quiet on here over the last few weeks... but for good reason! 😊 It seems like lots of people have been enjoying some well-earned holidays... me included! ☀️

Whether you've never picked up a paintbrush since school, you're looking for a relaxing evening out, or you simply fancy trying something new, this class is for you.

💕 Come on your own, bring a friend, your partner or a family member – everyone is welcome! My classes are friendly, relaxed and completely inclusive, so there's no pressure and absolutely no experience needed.

For just £20, I provide:

✨ My tips, techniques and encouragement to help you create a beautiful painting to take home and be proud of.
