Saturday filling and sanding and sunday painting. Customer needed her sons bedroom painted over the weekend. I hate working weekends as I miss my kids football matches which i look forward to all week. But her son who is only 11 was the most polite boy ive ever met and kept the tea coming so I was happy to do it for him.

This is going to be a challenge.
A dark stained door I am stripping. I will be staining it in sikkens HLS basecoat in light oak tomorrow. It is a mahogany door so will be on the darker side but still need to get all the previous coatings off first

On this job i completed Monday for my sister inlaw I had to chop the render out from the bottom of the wall as it was below the damp course and causing issues inside the house. Allowing the bricks to breathe will sort out the damp problem. The render was falling off anyway so it's tidied this up nicely. Once the bricks are cleaned up with some brick cleaning acid they will look as good as new.
The masonry used is sandtex smooth in their colour 'chalk hill'.
Window cills painted brickwork red to match and the fascia and soffit in black gloss.

Heres a front door, frame and porch cover recently finished in Barming.
I stripped the door back to clean fresh wood. Finished colour is pillar box red in crown trade fast flow gloss. White glossed frame. I also painted the bare bricks and porch inside.

To save my customer a fortune on having to buy a new front door I suggested I could restore it but would have to be painted because of cutting out the blown finish on the left hand side.
A full sand off of all existing varnish back to clean wood and it was clear to see what needed to be cut out. The cut out area was filled with two part filler then I painted the door using sadolin superdec in a satin finish. The colour is 'pea green' by little green.
I also stripped the threshold and stained in sikkens light oak and glossed the frame.

An oak door and frame I completed in Wateringbury this week. All coating which was left on the oak was removed and finey sanded smooth ready for the Sikkens wood coatings to be applied. Finished in a satin dark oak.
