Day 17 of revealing my handmade lampshades:

Today it’s William Morris Forest in Plum 💜

This print is no longer in production… but I may have a few metres hidden away in my secret fabric stash. Muhahaha.

I absolutely love this colourway, and I would be happy to keep all the fabric for myself 🫣

Should I be making more of this one?

Day 16 of revealing my handmade lampshades:

Today we’re back to William Morris Strawberry Thief, this time in blue with a mirror gold lining.

I love how different this looks from the red version and that golden glow against the deep blue is just gorgeous.

More Strawberry Thief variations coming because apparently I have a lot of this fabric 💙

Christine asked a really good question:
will a big print work on a small lampshade, or will it just overwhelm it?
In my opinion, absolutely!

I've used this Kaffe Fassett print on smaller tapered shades and even tiny candle clip shades, and I think it works beautifully.
What do you think - would you have expected this print to work on a small shade?

A little bonus reveal because I realised I hadn’t actually shown you the mirror-gold lining properly with the lights on. ✨

This is what that ridiculously shiny lining looks like once the lamps are lit. It gives the inside of the shade a gorgeous warm golden glow.

And after the satisfying protective-film peel, I thought you deserved to see the finished result 🫶
