Hello all! I’m finally back after taking a (much needed) step back from things and getting my ideas in order for the business.

When I started out in the shop just over a year ago it was fantastic as there was a real fluidity for customers to move between the craft fair and my shop - you guys could spot one from the other and it worked really well. I’m sure as many of you have come and gone throughout the year you will have noticed how different it now is around my shop - lots of new units hiding me in and a fence between myself and the craft fair. This was always going to happen so it’s my own fault for not thinking long term when I moved into my unit! I have a great amount of regular customers (love you guys 😁) but now have little to no visibility at my unit which isn’t great for reaching new customers. People coming to collect items sometimes can’t even find my unit - so really not practical! I have loved my open days but it is a LOT of work in preparing for them. With this in mind I have decided to remain in the unit for now but go back to my roots of selling exclusively online. You can still come to collect your goodies from my unit or have them posted to you! Maybe even some pop ups around East Lothian 😁

I love what I do and long term I intend to be back in a shop within a few years - next time on a high street! I also hope that minimising stock for a faster turnover will mean better quality pieces with the added benefit of knowing what my customers want so much more now!

I hope you guys understand this move and know that I am going nowhere as a business - you just might have to follow along with me on this journey 😆

Thanks so much again guys!

OPEN DAY MOVED TO NEXT WEEKEND!

Can’t wait to see you all there!

Hi everyone 👋🏻

I have returned from my very relaxing week on the beautiful Isle of Islay. Feeling refreshed and eager to get out looking for some new vintage stock for the next open day!

The history on the island was amazing and I loved my visit to their little museum. This is one of the many things I saw.. it was donated by a local family to the museum and was hand made by the donors grandfather (late 1800’s) who was a fisherman. But.. what do you think it was used for? Stick any suggestions below and I will pop the answer in the stories later along with the story behind it! For reference, it is about a meter in length.

Glad to be back guys!

Sorry for the silence on here guys, life has been a bit hectic including a hospital stay with my son this week. Easter holidays are approaching and I intend to totally switch off as we take the kids to Islay for a week.. a much needed break!

In shop news, most of the stock is now gone 👏🏻 time to start replenishing and get some beautiful new vintage and antiques in. I will pop a question box up on my stories so please pop in any suggestions of items you would like to see at my next open day!
