MEDIA STATEMENT - JULY 6th 2026

We have learnt this afternoon that the Kernowfornia Festival, which was due to take place in Looe the 4th - 6th September, has been cancelled. The organisers Gracenote Promotions Ltd. are going into liquidation and have stated that they are now insolvent.

We fully understand how disappointing this news will be for many people - music lovers, those who have bought tickets for the event & those who have already booked accommodation. We sincerely hope that musicians, technicians and traders are not out of pocket too.

The Looe Weekender, now in its 5th year, is Looe's FREE live music festival. Holding the event in multiple venues, not having external food, drink & merchandisers is, we believe, the most sustainable way in which to keep such festivals going, whilst having the maximum positive impact on the communities in which they are staged.

We very much hope that everyone who has reserved their accommodation for Kernowfornia will still come to Looe & enjoy our beautiful town, enjoy our fabulous location, places to eat, drink & explore... and you will all be very welcome to return later in the month to enjoy the Looe Weekender.

We have 16 venues, 80+ acts over the three days - and every single one of them is FREE to all.
