Eastbourne Scrap Store Eastbourne Scrap store is a place where you can donate & buy cheap recycled arts and crafts materials & do your bit to recycle.

Our volunteers sort the scrap & we also offer free and low cost workshops where you can learn new skills and meet new friends. Welcome to the Eastbourne Scrap Store! The Eastbourne Scrap Store is based on the principle of reduce, reuse and recycle. It works by taking re-usable, safe, clean waste products (‘scrap’) donated by individuals and local businesses that can be repurposed by its members into pieces of art, crafts and gifts. Members pay a small fee to collect scrap from the store for personal and group use within the community. The Scrap Store stores also provide an outreach provision in the form of workshops where participants can demonstrate examples of ways in which they can put ‘reducing, reusing and recycling’ into practice in a shared environment and have a better understanding of their commitment to improving the environment; the local economy; and society by reducing waste in landfill.

WORKSHOP NEWS...

- For all the lovely people waiting for the new workshops, they should go LIVE TOMORROW AFTERNOON (Monday 19/10)

- For the winter term, WE WILL BE DONATING 100% OF THE PROCEEDS from all the workshops to charity. The charity will be chosen by the volunteer running the workshop, and these will be shown on the page.

💛 It's so much more than just a Scrapstore… it's a community! 💛

One of our lovely volunteers, Lyn, takes scraps from the Scrapstore and transforms them into the most beautiful, unique quilted coats. 🧵🪡

Lyn has made so many wonderful coats and generously donated them back to the Scrapstore, but her kindness doesn't stop there! Out of pure generosity and love, she has also gifted some of her beautiful creations to our members. ❤️

It's people like Lyn who make our Scrapstore such a special place. Seeing creativity, kindness and generosity all coming together reminds us that we're not just a place full of arts and crafts materials — we're a lovely community of people who care, share and support one another. 🥰

At the Scrapstore, we're so much more than a building full of arts and crafts — we're a community! 🎨✨

One of the things that makes our community so special is the wonderful people who bring their creativity, kindness and talents through our doors.

So on Tuesday, our kids activity club made some beautiful candle holders.
In week 1, we made flower presses, and collected flowers and leaves from the garden to use them with. This week, we got to see the pressed flowers for the first time, and used them to stick onto glass jars to make luminaries.
The kids had such fun, and made so many they were deciding who to give them to as gifts. I hope that whoever they do give them to will understand the process and how hard they worked 😁
