LEARN HOW TO SEW USING YOUR SEWING MACHINE ADULTS ONLY
10.00AM - 16.00PM SUNDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER 2026
Please email [email protected] to book this popular class. Please provide the make and model of your sewing machine. If you do not have a sewing machine, you can reserve one to use on the day. Confirmation and payment details will be emailed to you.

Course details....
If you have a sewing machine and you are eager to start sewing, this is the course for you!
We will show you how to set up your machine, wind the bobbin and thread your machine correctly. You will learn how to start and finish, sew straight lines and curves. Insert a zip using the zipper foot and fashion a zipped bag to take home with you. Sew button holes and talk about the different stitches, feet and accessories that come with your machine. We will guide you on how to keep your machine in excellent condition for your sewing journey! There will be plenty of hints and tips on the day giving you the confidence to go home and start sewing straight away! Course fee is £58.00 which includes fabric and refreshments. If you do not have a sewing machine you are welcome to borrow one on the day.
Payments to be made in advance to secure your sewing seat.
To attend this course your sewing machine must be in full working order.

Our Wednesday morning dressmaking class is celebrating another beautiful finish! ✂️💛

Our student has just completed this stunning dress using a vintage Vogue 8972 pattern. Made in a yellow linen and fully lined with a soft complementary cotton, it's a timeless piece that's ready to wear to a very special summer occasion.

Vogue 8972 is an intermediate level pattern and comes with various bust fittings. The bodice features several construction pieces, making it an enjoyable and rewarding project that comes together beautifully. The result is an elegant, classic shift dress with a flattering fit.

I would definitely recommend this versatile 6 style pattern as part of a sewing capsule wardrobe. Sew it in different fabrics and colours, and you will have a collection of stylish shift dresses suitable for so many occasions.

Christmas in July 😲

It's never too early to make a start on your Christmas projects, especially if you are making handmade gifts! 🎄✨

We had a lovely Thursday morning class with the ladies, making patchwork table runners and a variety of beautiful bags.

Another lovely Log Cabin Quilt laid out for completion in the Monday afternoon sewing class.
