Kitchen Makeover Special.
Sometimes we just have to work with what we've got and shed new light and life into a dull and impractical environment.

Our kitchen was in much need of being updated, and little had been done to the once ex-student pad on our arrival.

On a tight budget, the units had to remain. Although the space is small with a few tweets, we are well on the way to making it feel more, fresh and homely.

Happy Shabby and Chic New Year Everyone!

The winter evenings will soon be fewer thankfully now January is here.

However, while we still await the brighter longer days, where daylight seems endless, why not lift the abeyance of your choosen room, with a Cascading chandelier light fitting, to brighten your interior.

They work wonders for inviting streams of light within a space.

Play arround with the light fittings when manually threading the fitting with glass droplets to show it at its best.

You'll often find the more the merrier. Lastly I have locally sourced a victorian plaster ceiling rose to set off the high ceiling to reflect the period style, and to add some charm and class to my scheme!

Hello everyone, hope, we all snuggled up this cold November evening. :-)

Finally some work has actually taken place in my loft. last week saw the arrival of the beam, to provide additional support to the chimney stack. This was essential for additional support and bring it in line with building regulations.

Downstairs chimney breast were removed by the previous owners calling for a Retrospective planning application being submitted.

It was a nail biting mission to get access to the space but it all came together in the end.

Keep well till next time and don't forget to visit my site for my paintings. https:// www.abstractartwizzard-maxi.com

There are no shortcuts when it comes fixing up and renovating a property.

The summer months saw the addition of the upstairs double glazing, while I decided to keep the downstairs period sach windows.

Fixing up my 3 bedroom Edwardian terrace house has left me excited but exhausted all at once. Dad always said slow but steady wins the race. But how many laps will it take is the question?
Furthermore I've decided to change my name to Maxine "Quote my job Morgan" for the amount of energy it has taken 🙃 out of me. Yes, but what is life without a challenge?-

It's nice when materias are delivered after a 6 week wait. The scaffolding was a day late but all was well the following day.

The company I went with were 1st Home Improvements. www.firsthomeimprovements.co.uk who were a great team, and demonstrated how to use them most effectively for clever ventilation features.
My windows now look amazing and it's so peaceful compared to previously.

How are we this chilly November evening?
I have finally laid a new path for the front of the house. The terracotta quary tiles, had seen better days, and were desperate need of replacing.

There's still much to do, but ground matters are surely a must! The dimond border and steps came from tops tiles while the rope edging and porcline floors tiles were from Homebase and B&Q.

I wanted to capture a style that had a victorian appeal with some Mediterranean echos. The front also had facelift, with the reder to enhance the overall exterior.

It's been a busy 2 weeks, with the recent Art shows and open house venues welcoming the public to engage with Art near and far.

Sussex by the Sea ran from 16 may to 2nd of June, and I'm just still catching my breath with all the hard work it took make it a huge success.

I was amongst those who exhibited at Gallery@42 Eastbourne, on Southstreet, with various pieces of acrylic on canvas artwork.

I did however ensure to treat myself to afternoon tea earlier last week at the Horseguards Hotel, to wind down.
If you didn't make it along, do vist my site below,
