I’ve gone and done it again. Yes I HAD intended to post much more in ‘24 but alas it was not to be.

Here are some pics from the last and biggest job of the year which consisted all of the ground floor interior and all exterior woodwork.

I became very unwell towards the end of the job, so many thanks to David Cauley for his consistency and accuracy and to Simon from A&S Painting Services for all his hard work (especially his 3 story ladder work, see pics). Thanks also to Nat for the drone pics!

MDF fitted cabinets and freshly plastered lounge and extension.

Ceilings and walls finished in Dulux Trade ‘Brilliant White’ and Farrow & Ball ‘Strong White’ respectively. Cabinets finished in a rich Farrow & Ball ‘Down Pipe’ grey

Raw MDF edges were sealed with PVA then everything painted with Zinsser 123 primer/sealer. I tinted some more white primer for the next coat followed by a further two topcoats of ‘Down Pipe’ grey - see pics for progress.

* Farrow and Ball colours mixed by Leyland Trade matt emulsion, primer and eggshell respectively.

It’s been great decorating again this week with Simon at A&S Painting Services. Amongst other projects we completed an apartment at the Lantern Building in Hythe - great views of The Solent and the sound of lapping waves have been soothing to paint to. Featured here are some pics of the kitchen/diner including feature wall in Dulux ‘Woad Walk’ with some colourful vinyl splash back. Another job done. Finished in Valspar ‘Candle Light’ with Farrow & Ball ‘Oval Room Blue’ feature room. Green oak beam edges filled with Fibacryl by Toupret UK Many thanks to Simon at A&S Painting Services for his diligence and hard work.
