I had so many plans for social media this Christmas, but it turns out I was always going to be maximum busy… plus 10... and some!! So I have not had chance to even do a Tik Tok live! We have all been flat out, so Thank you all! Today a lovely lady left this review which has really made my day. I really appreciate anyone taking the time to leave a review. Sorry I have not been able to keep up online! I am sure you have all got better things to do than look at my mug all day! 2026 will be THE year!

Hi Guys - We have changed to the new website. The team are still tweaking but we had to launch or we will never get there! There are some issues but feel free to have a look! Let me know if things are missing that you would like to see. Any feedback is good. Does it actually work at all!?? hah.
We have lots more to add which will come over the next couple of weeks. If you are a customer in our Eastleigh shop you will be able to use your account in store and build up loyalty points and cash in discounts too!

I have been doing Tik Tok lives now in the shop. Just greasing the cogs and figuring it all out. I am enjoying the new direction! There was a moment earlier with 21 people all listening to me bang on! It’s much more fun with your interactions! Forgive me if I miss things as there is a lot going on! Do people do lives on Facebook?
I have finally been convinced to open a Tik Tok shop!
I know it’s the news you have all been waiting for and something that will change your worlds forever! I am just doing my bit! 😁
But just when you thought your world would be made better forever… it turns out we need 1,000 followers to be able to do it! And we’ve not really used Tik Tok before.
So if you are a not just a Facebooker but a Tik Toker, too, I would appreciate you giving us a follow to help me deliver just what Tik Tok needs! Pick n Melt!
Some of you may have noticed our social media has been purged and I have been very quiet. Some have asked is our business ok!?
The answer is, YES! All is fine!
Simply, we had enough of being slave to social media and working all hours God sends in our business whilst losing time as a family with our sons who are now teens (and taller than us both!). We have been working on a new website and new product lines which always takes longer than you would like. But most importantly we were not willing to lose another summer with our boys.
So we closed the shop 2 days a week and have not been using social media. We have actually been spending time together as a family. Last Monday we went to see the Crash Test Dummies in Bath, when we would usually be working. We went to Stonehenge on the way and visited the Roman Baths before the gig. It was an awesome day!
Our business is very much still thriving. I am doing only markets that are profitable rather than just for the sake of it in desperation to make the company grow and pay everyone else’s wages. Quite frankly, family is more important and we deserve a happy private life like you all do, helped by us with all our smelly goodies.
So you can catch me at various markets here and there over the summer, and the shop is open in Eastleigh, Tuesday - Saturday, 9-5. At the end of the summer we will launch our new website with our new marketing content which means you can get lots of amazing deals (more amazing than already!)

In 2014 we discovered wax melts. We had always used scented candles but never really heard of wax melts. But we were hooked! We always griped at how expensive wax melts and candles were but our biggest problem was how weak the scents were and how small of a selection that we could find available. So we created Pick n Melt to fix that problem.
Creating Pick n Melt was quite a journey. There was a lot more to starting a wax melts and candle company than we had first considered. It was a learning curve like no other! One of the hardest parts was coming up with a name that was unique but portrayed our sentiment. We didn’t want a brand that pandered to “girly’ stereotypes or even the typical home style like you see on the high street and in magazines. We wanted it to firstly represent the fun we had discovering wax melts. We are a Wife (yes, me first... I’m the boss ;)) and a Husband team. He likes wax melts just as much as I do. We wanted a brand that represented that. A brand that was more gender neutral. Kids like sweets! Adults like nice smells (especially after being married for 10 years! We long for them!).
We collected so many! Sooooooo many different wax melts. We were like our very own shop! We became connoisseurs! It was like we had our very own Woolworth’s Pick n Mix sweet shop but for wax melts instead. All we needed to do was simply Pick one and melt it... Pick... and... melt it. Pick n Melt it. Pick n Melt! As you can see, we derived the name from deep quantum rocket science. But we LOVED it.
We are very proud of our unique Wax Melts in their little cute pots and also the wax warmer that we also designed. My husband even made the first one from clay! We carefully source our materials and have our own unique blend of soy wax to aid an amazing scent throw (just check our Facebook reviews). There are 350 scents to choose from so enough to please everyone!
