I was hoping that it would look fine in the morning, but nope that the back leg is definitely too small..... 🤦‍♀️

But with a bit of photoshop planning I'm hoping it's not going to be too big a job to fix 😭

Just got to wait a couple of days for the background to be dry enough to work over.

When I saw this Chinese / Lunar new year is the year of the horse (my birth year was also a year of the horse) but not just that, but a FIRE horse, the image rooted solidly in my brain. I've sketched out my plan roughly in Photoshop and today I started on the painting! Stay tuned for the next stages!

Back to work!

It's been a lovely Christmas and new year with the family, but its time to get back to work. Time to reset, plan and organise.

My main job is as a freelance graphic designer but im setting aside plenty of time in January to get some painting projects done too.

So step one - tidy that desk! It had become a bit of a dumping zone over the last couple of weeks.

Step two - check paint supplies, I ran out of everything over Xmas, disposable pallets, oil paint medium and lots of paints are running low!

Step three - put in a big ol' order with Jacksons art. I got a gift card for Xmas so now's the perfect time to stock up!

Step four - quick client call.

Step five - prep work for a new painting.

Step six - ugh... Tax return.
