Project 2/39 (give or take). This one is a Lerato Top from with the Ironwork Tee by motif on it. When I got the contrast yarn in I knew I wanted to pair it with some BFL I’d seen at home in and I knew I wanted it to be in the style of an Ironwork Tee.

I bought the yarn on a holiday with cousins in 2024, so I decided to knit it up for the 2025 holiday. When it became clear I wouldn’t finish in time, it went into the box of doom under my bed where lots of projects go to sleep!! I’m very excited to get it finished now and hey, it’ll definitely be ready for the 2026 cousins trip!

2026 is the year of finishing stuff! But that would get boring fast, so I am also including the projects that already have yarn sitting waiting to be used in my list. In total, I have 37 things to finish or frog!

This one was the first: a vintage sweater for my uncle. My gran first knit him this in the 1980s in brown, yellow, orange and red! This time round we stuck to the original pattern’s colour combo. It’s huge on me because he is a tall man, but it’s cosy and I can’t wait for him to finally wear it! I started with the plain sleeves way back in October 2024. I began the intarsia body, created a yarn organisation system with an old cereal box, but I lost the mojo at some point. After picking it up in the summer of 2025, things got in the way again. But since finishing my advent, and some teddy cloth bag gifts it’s finally made it to the top of the list!

Swipe for an outtake that represents my days quite well!

I’ve never been great at a daily habit, so here’s a nice catch up on my Bridgerton Advent - days 11-15 💜💜💜

DIY got in the way, and in order to make the most of the yarn, but also finish during advent, I’ve cracked into the rest of the colours to get my first sleeve finished. I’ll finish the second shortly and then I’ll be free to use up all the yarn as I knit the rest of the body. I’ve gone for a Cascade heritage beige/brown as the contrast colour for my cuffs and neck band, and I’m so happy with it. I can’t wait to share!!

We’re moving towards blue with the 7th day of my Bridgerton Advent 💙 Today’s colourway is called Wallflower! I’m also moving towards the split for sleeves nicely too!! It’s going to take a few more repeats of the bricks, and I’m consistently getting 3 rows of each colour with the previous colour, on its own, and then with the next colour - so I have a plan going into the sleeves!

The pattern is an adaption of the Macaron Cardigan from and the Rain or Shine patterns from 🧶
