I've been in the garage all this week stripping these desks. Unfortunately the blue school desk also required treatment and filling, but it'll be fine when painted. Old Edinburgh Corporation items.

Something a bit different. Industrial theme entertainment unit. Heavy duty wheels, solid wood unit. Concrete effect surface, bespoke stencil and handles. Two drawers with space for 36 boxed games.

It's finally warm enough to work in the garage, so this morning I stripped much of the ancient gloss paint from this old panel. That green layer must have been something.

I believe this was originally a front door on a 1920s villa that was then used as an internal panel. Its been cut down so no longer use as a door but I hope to add a front part and create a hall table/light feature from it. But first I need to get rid of the rest of the paint. Job for another day me thinks.

This was the mirror from the kid's dressing table I'm working on. The mirror itself was badly scratched and a weird shape so I couldn't easily replace, but I loved the shape so have used it to frame a Dragonfly Crafts Fabulous Flamingo. Going to add pink feather fairy lights to finish off the theme.

Not quite finished, but I've had to move out my project room for visitors, so WIP pics.

Sometimes you finish a piece and are happy with it, but over time it doesn't quite sit right, so you revisit it.

As well as painting the woodwork a dark teal, I regilded the feet and edges with rose gold wax, painted the glass side panels and added stencils. Much happier now.

Finally getting back to my projects after Covid and grateful to be able to make my first donation of 2024 to CAC Climbers Against Cancer.
