Five years of Studio Heim 🤍

Sunday marked five years since I took the leap and started Studio Heim, and honestly, I can’t quite believe how quickly it’s gone.

What started as a little idea has grown into a business I’m incredibly proud of, filled with beautiful homes, wonderful clients, brilliant people and so many lessons along the way.

There have been plenty of highs, a few wobbles, and lots of figuring things out as I went. And this year has brought a whole new chapter again, balancing Studio Heim with life as a mum to Olivia.

I’m so grateful to every client who has trusted me with their homes, every supplier and maker I’ve worked alongside, and everyone who has followed, shared, recommended and supported Studio Heim over the last five years.

Here’s to five years of creating spaces that feel like home, and to whatever comes next 🥂

When evening working looks like this… it’s not so bad 🤍

A poorly baby girl this week has meant no daycare, which also means no three lovely, uninterrupted workdays for me!

So instead, I’ve been squeezing work in wherever I can. A little while she naps, a little bit once she’s in bed, and occasionally with a small helper alongside me.

Juggling a business and being a Mum isn’t always easy. There are definitely days when I wish I had a few more hours, a little more headspace, or simply the luxury of finishing work at 5pm and switching off.

But I’m also incredibly grateful that I get to make it work in a way that fits around our family.

Studio Heim is something I’ve built from the ground up, and I genuinely love what I do. So while the balance can be a bit chaotic at times, I wouldn’t change it.

It might not always look like the perfectly structured working week… but sometimes, it looks like this. 💻🤍

And honestly? I’m pretty happy with that.

Continuing our look around this beautiful home, today we’re sharing the living room we had the pleasure of designing.

The aim was to create a space that feels inviting from the moment you walk in. Somewhere that balances comfort with character, layering texture, natural materials and timeless pieces to create a room that’s made for everyday living.

A little corner that earns its place.

This small addition brought the extra storage the kitchen needed without disrupting the flow of the space. By keeping the same materials and lines as the rest of the kitchen, it just feels like it was always meant to be there.
