It’s the smallest tweaks that make things feel a little less ā€˜basic’ and a whole lot more intentionally ā€˜styled’.

This little faux plant from IKEA actually comes in a very plain plastic pot… but instead of using it as it is, I drop it into a simple tea light holder.

It’s exactly the right size and instantly elevates the whole look.

These are the kinds of easy home styling ideas that quietly dress a space without needing a full makeover.

Perfect if you love a calm, put-together home without overcomplicating it.

Sometimes it’s not what you use… it’s how you use it.

Instead of placing stems in a vase, try laying them flat across your mantel and gently shaping them so they drape naturally.

Because artificial stems are wired, you can bend and mould them to create a much softer, more relaxed look. Nothing stiff or overly ā€œdone.ā€

It’s these small styling shifts that make your home feel lighter, fresher, and more in tune with the new season.

If your home is starting to feel ready for spring, this is such an easy way to refresh a space without overthinking it.

Before you start thinking your home needs a full makeover…

What if it doesn’t?

What if that slightly ā€œoļ¬€ā€ feeling, the one where your home still feels stuck in winter, could be changed with just a few simple swaps?

No big spend

No complicated projects

Just a few thoughtful changes in the right places and suddenly everything feels lighter, fresher,
more you again.

In my latest video, I’m refreshing a few key areas in my home for spring. It always amazes me how much of a difference these small changes can make.

If you love home decor, seasonal styling and creating a calm, welcoming space, this is exactly the kind of refresh that works beautifully at this time of year šŸ’š

One of the things I love most about decorating for the seasons is finding simple ways to add a
little lift to everyday spaces.

This gorgeous yellow wreath came home with me from Homesense… but the real tip here is how
to hang wreaths on internal doors without marking the front.

My little trick is placing a clear command hook upside down on the back of the door, then looping a ribbon through the wreath, over the door then tying it onto the hook.

Because the hook is clear, I just leave it there permanently and when there’s no wreath hanging it’s virtually invisible.

In my latest video I’m shopping Homesense for beautiful spring finds and then styling them here
at home, sharing lots of simple home styling hints and tricks along the way.

We all need the practical things in our homes (like plug sockets!) but they can sometimes spoil a beautiful corner…

Sockets. Cables. Plug in diffusers that smell lovely but definitely aren’t the prettiest things to look at.

One of my favourite little styling tricks is to use plants or a small table to tuck those things quietly out of sight. It’s an easy way to keep a space feeling calm and uncluttered.

In my latest video, I’m shopping Homesense for some lovely spring treasure finds and then styling them here at home, sharing simple styling hints and tricks along the way including little ideas like this for disguising plugs and sockets.

If you enjoy finding those small touches that make a home feel more peaceful, layered and
welcoming for spring, you might enjoy the full video.

I’m much more conscious now about what I bring into my home and how much use I’ll actually get from it.

I like to use the change of the seasons as a genuine reason to add just one or two new pieces but they have to be versatile and timeless, not just seasonal ā€˜fluff’!

That means looking out for pieces that work beyond Easter like this gorgeous Concrete Effect Stoneware Jug Vase from Dunelm. A beautiful concrete effect jug that has a lighter spring feel, yet feels practical, elevated and effortless.

I love that it could stay out all summer whether it’s holding blooms, displayed solo as a calm decor accent, or layered with other neutral homewares.

This is the kind of seasonal decorating that feels cool, calm and wonderfully understated.

Every few months, in line with the changing seasons, I switch out my mugs in my cupboard.

I’ve got quite the collection these days!

Last season’s go away and the new season ones come out and it genuinely feels a little like greeting old friends.

I only see them for a few months each year, so when they return they feel fresh again and not just another coffee mug I reach for without thinking.

It’s such a tiny ritual, but I think what I love about it is the sense of gentle change.

The seasons move on, the mugs change, and it’s a small way of marking that shift, like turning to a fresh new page in the diary.

A reminder that a new season has arrived and with it new possibilities, new plans, new little moments to enjoy.

There’s something comforting about change that’s predictable like that. A quiet rhythm to the year.

Do you have any quirky little seasonal rituals in your home that help you mark the shift from one season to the next?

I love to snap pics of in store displays for inspiration but you don’t need all the things to set a special table this autumn. Of course ā€˜in store’ displays look amazing because they literally have ALL THE THINGS but even some pretty napkins and a couple of coloured tea light holders can make a big impact and give you the seasonal feels you’re going for 🄰 šŸ

A little fall photo dump from my recent USA trip ā¤ļø These were taken in Geneva IL, a place I’ve visited so many times, particularly in October, when its charm and decor shopping options start to really ramp up ahead of the main holiday season. If you’re a seasonal decor girlie like me you would absolutely love it šŸ˜

Have you ever been? What do you look for in a ā€˜go to’ home decor shopping destination?

✨ Ever spotted a Christmas collection in store and thought… where on earth did that come from? šŸŽ„šŸ¤”

In my Shop With Me videos on YouTube, I don’t just show you what’s new, I take you behind the scenes to uncover the why behind the trends. From unexpected influences in fashion and pop culture, to the clever ways retailers bring them to life, there’s always more going on than meets the eye.

This year, one theme in particular caught my eye and let’s just say, you’ll never look at Christmas decor the same way again. šŸ˜‰
