myBearpaw is a craft class studio and specialist retailer which started inside Avery Homestore (one of Edinburgh's best independent home and craft retailers for over fifteen years). It has just moved to new premises in Edinburgh where Jo Avery will concentrate exclusively on her myBearpaw brand of sewing classes, fabric, wool and haberdashery.

I’m afraid this is the view from the shop window at the moment! I thought I should make you guys aware that they’re resurfacing Gilmore Place so the street directly outside the shop is closed. The 27 and 10 buses are also diverted along Colinton Road and through Bruntsfield. The road is meant to be closed on weekdays only and the roadworks will continue until Friday the 13th. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes!

The MyBearpaw annual SALE is now live online! There is 15% off everything (except gift vouchers and classes) as well as large 25% and 40% off sections. The online sale will run until midnight on the 10th of January. Our in store sale will start on the 3rd of January at 10am and finish at 5pm on the 10th of January, there will be a wider selection in person so be sure to stop in if you can! Tomorrow, Saturday 20th December, will be our last open day before the holidays. We’ll be open from 10am to 5pm. The shop will reopen on Saturday 3rd January when our annual SALE will start in store, there will be 15% off everything as well as 25% and 40% off sections. The SALE will start online on Boxing Day.
