Maison Phoenix

Maison Phoenix maisonphoenix.carrd.co Maison Phoenix's journey started during summer of 2017, led by my passion for sewing and addiction to fabric.

The shop's name comes from the French term "Maison" (home), which refers to the title of one of my favourite anime, and "Phoenix". More than once in my life I felt like coming to a dead end but then, similarly to the legendary bird, I somewhat managed to renew myself and raise gloriously to a new beginning.

I'm barely containing my excitement as I officially announce that Maison Phoenix has landed at the Scottish Design Exchange in Glasgow!

I spent the day getting our first drop settled on the shelves - a huge shoutout to the Glasgow team for being so welcoming and helping me get everything just right.

If you haven't visited yet, make sure to head over to the new, larger and much shinier location on Sauchiehall Street, as the has recently relocated from their old spot at the Buchanan Galleries to this fantastic new space!

Come by to browse our curated mix of your long-time favourites and keep an eye out for some brand-new designs landing soon!

Hello, let me re‑introduce myself. I’m Sonia, the queen of pro‑cat‑stination 🐾

With a million things screaming for attention on my to‑do list, I got sidetracked, slipped a pencil into my hand and found myself filling a sketchbook spread instead of checking off tasks ✏️

Here I’ve drawn a dashing portrait of Scotland’s own folk‑hero, Rob Roy, side‑by‑side with another kind of royalty: Hamish McHamish, the famous cat who once ruled the cobblestones of St Andrews.

BTW, I knew about the Scottish Robin Hood, but how come I've never heard of the local legend‑turned‑viral sensation cat before? Time to adopt Hamish into the Maison Phoenix family - welcome to the clan!

Between the whirlwind of preparations for the and the everyday hustle, I suddenly realised I never shared my February bucket list wrap‑up... oops 🤦🏻‍♀️

But I’m here now, ready to spill the tea on everything I managed (and didn’t manage) to check off this past month 🫖

I popped into the for a restock and my shelves finally got the glow‑up they deserve ✨

I’m still scrambling to finish March’s sticker designs, so tomorrow will be all‑in on layout and production.
Keep an eye out for a post announcing this month’s fresh designs and the link to join the Stick ’n’ Smile club, our snail mail subscription that delivers a curated set of stickers straight to your doorstep every month.
The first five subscribers will receive the January and February stickers absolutely free 🐌

After weeks of preparation Super Seconds Festival has come to an end, but the good news is that our sale is still on until March 15th. Grab yourself a bargain on seconds and take 10% off full price items* with code SUPERSECONDS at checkout 🧲

I’ve been filling my sketchbook with doodles for potential new products using only graphite pencils, but the thought of adding colour or ink makes me nervous - I’m afraid I’ll ruin the line work 🎨
Got any tips on easing that fear? I’m all ears👂🏻

On the reading front, I turned the last page of 'Welcome to the Hyunam-Dong Bookshop' a heart warming novel that whisked me away to a hidden literary haven in Seoul. It left me craving more of that gentle, immersive storytelling, so my next pick is 'DallerGut Dream Department Store' 📚️

As usual, I totally missed carving out a dedicated self‑care day - what’s new, right?
Instead, I stumbled onto a pleasant pocket of downtime wandering the cafés and charity shops of Bruntsfield and Morningside. It was a sweet way to see a different side of Edinburgh and I highly recommend exploring those neighbourhoods if you’re ever in town 🍰

That’s the February lowdown - thanks for sticking around and don't forget to make the most of our big sale!
