The pieces in the image are from my exhibition Contemporary Ceramics at the start of the summer - where does the time go! There were some subtle shifts in the work and it’s always so special when collectors respond positively and support the emerging developments.
It’s been a busy time in the studio lately as I’ve been working on a very special commission and making plans for my forthcoming exhibition The Scottish Gallery at the end of the year.

This little trio will be coming with me to Potfest this weekend. There’s another fantastic line up of exhibitors so well worth a visit if you are in the area.

As ever I still have lots to do, including fitting in one more firing, but I’ll get there 😉 I’m having a lovely night off tonight as going to see David Byrne - exciting!

It’s the final day of Incised today Contemporary Ceramics. It has been such a privilege to fill this beautiful space with my work. Thank you to the talented team at the gallery who displayed my work with such thought and consideration and thank you to everyone who has visited, sent messages and purchased work, every single one of these acts means so much to me 🙏

Making a large body of work for a solo show is no small feat and for those close to me know just how much it consumed my every waking hour. I’ve now had time to reflect and properly absorb the shifts and developments that happened within the making, and for a creative person I have been given one of the best gifts - to be inspired and excited about the next phase of making.

I am very much looking forward to the opening of my exhibition this evening. The team have worked tirelessly to photograph, catalogue and display all 70 pieces I know seeing everything together for the first time is going to be a real pinch me moment. I am so grateful to be given this opportunity, it has at times been all consuming and overwhelming but I got there!
