A little reminder that interiors are meant to be fun.

Go bold with the wallpaper, take it over the ceiling, throw some colour into the mix and don’t forget about the little details.

Small spaces are often the best places to be a bit braver and sometimes the thing you’re not quite sure you can get away with ends up being the thing that makes the room.

And when it comes to actually making it happen? We’ve got the trades, the sourcing and all those fiddly bits covered too.

Be brave, trust your gut and have a little fun with it.

It’s been all paint and numbers in the studio this week as we prepare for a client’s bedroom. 🎨

The choices are endless, and the tones can vary so much depending on the light.

We’ve taken the utmost care in selecting the perfect shade… only to go round in circles as we rule each one out! And then there are the wallpaper options too, so we’re balancing all of these variables to find the perfect combination.

It’s fun and games alright! ✨

We love sheers!

We’re currently working on some options for a clients window dressing using patterned sheers.

It’s been good looking through options and how that will influence the feeling of the space as well as the light quality that will pour through the linen.

The bedroom design mood board of our latest project in Stirling ⚡️

We’ve gone with cushions in a fabric by Iona Crawford cause IONA CRAWFORD! 😍 and the colour is juuuust right 🫧

We’ve looked at two wallpapers for this room in a similar design. The Lewis & Wood was the winner at the end 🏆

The Lewis & Wood wallpaper in our panel design

The very expensive hand painted wallpaper which didn’t make the cut but did in our hearts! 🥰

Luxurious bedding by the The Finest Linen Company

And lastly paint colours which we went through around fifty shades of grey 🤣

We had from the studio in Glasgow visit us recently and she took us through their new collection, ‘Joy’.

This Collection features four hand painted artworks, each diverse in composition and energy. Drawing inspiration from Iona’s unravelled interpretations of the essence of Joy, and how it translates and relates from an individual perspective, and from that of a collective humanity. The paintings themselves are vast; Equi and Bliss in particular. Enveloping in their composition and coloration.

Plenty fun to be had bringing these designs into our schemes in the studio over the coming months!

Some sample testing for a new and *very, very* exciting project... 👀✨

And let’s just throw Jay modelling into the mix, because why not? 😎 Probably the most stylish human at Edinburgh Printmakers. Need style tips? He’s your man.

Have a beautiful weekend, everyone! ❤️ And may we love and forever cherish the Scottish weather 🌦️ -as unpredictable as the movements of a bouncing ferret.

What a beautiful site visit to this gorgeous project of ours.

It’s been such a journey and still some to go, as the last bits await we are like kids in a candy store eyes big as giant apples, as we sit patiently to see this come to fruition.

The considered flow from the inside of the home to the exterior.

We embark on ventures that unite these elements of the home, creating a sense of cohesion between inside and out.

The exterior of a home should not feel separate, but connected a natural extension of the spaces within, with each element in quiet conversation with the next.

We’re incredibly proud of how this beautiful project came together and invite you to peruse the finished result.
