'Strategic Points', our exhibition featuring work by Linda Green, continues this weekend.

Linda Green is an established artist living and working in Edinburgh with a full catalogue of professional activity including exhibitions in the UK, Japan, Europe and the USA, with collections worldwide.

Her career evolved into two strands; academic and professional. She lectured at Glasgow School of Art for over twenty years as well as periods at Dundee and Edinburgh.

Before this, she studied at ECA in the prestigious tapestry department, then the only art school pioneering tapestry as an art discipline. She followed this with a Masters at the RCA in textiles, where she explored the deconstruction of tapestry and developed innovative structures incorporating new materials.

Sometimes simplicity is key to making a work pop. We housed this piece in a thin, blue aluminium frame, allowing it to shine on any wall without distracting from the print itself. We love it!

The weather is finally giving taps aff and we are here for it! ☀

We recently framed up this apt piece by from 's Small Paintings Show and had lots of fun with colour matching using a double mount, aged silver frame and mount-coloured spacers. 🏊‍♂️

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the 200th Annual Exhibition. It was a joy to see so many of our clients' and friends' work featured in such a fantastic celebration of Scottish art, and to bump into some familiar faces!

We are excited to announce our latest exhibition, now showing in the Gallery.

Linda Green: Strategic Points

In this body of work, Linda explores relationships between tapestry and drawing. Woven fragments integrate with drawing, blurring the boundaries between different visual languages. Dark, unexplored territories are implied and informed by fluidity of movement, change of tempo, with a hint of mystery.

‘Strategic Points’ demonstrates her unique and diverse approach, exploring and developing creative ideas through a range of textile materials and influences.
