✨ A wee bit different this weekend… ✨

Me and my buddy Shirley James have been having a proper “sort our lives out” moment… and let’s just say, we’ve uncovered a serious stash 😅🧶

Gorgeous yarns, lovely fabrics, Cricut bits, patterns and plenty more — and (deep breath!) we’re very reluctantly letting some of it go.

For the first time in 2026 I managed a few lovely ‘spare’ hours back on my sewing machine today!

Decided to practice some quilting so ran up this little box bag out of my bag of scrap fabrics. Fully lined with a gorgeous red interior and a zip closing. Quite pleased with how it has turned out.

Finally finished a large quilt I started back in August on my new sewing machine. For the top I started with a Layer cake of 42 x 10’’ squares and 3 pieces of fabric. Cut most of the fabric into 2.5’’ squares (about 600 of them 🤷‍♀️) and had to sew them all back up again in this design.

Can’t say it was a quilt I particularly enjoyed making but now it’s complete I’m very happy with it! Thankfully 😂.

AnneMadeCrafts finally made it to Just Sew Simple to use the amazing long arm quilting machine to bring this quilt to life.

I’d been working on this quilt for a while but didn’t have the best of time making it - too many small squares and triangles to cut, sew and pull together into an intricate design - testing my patience! Glad to say I love how it’s turning out now.

On the final stretch now through with only the binding to hand sew in place around it! Watch this space.
