The name 'Tweed'll Dee' for this range of products, from Notions Embroidery Brechin, loosely translates from the Doric language as 'Tweed Will Do'. Doric is still prevalent in my home town of Ballater on Royal Deeside...& the Dee also refers to the famous river Dee. Although I now live just outside Edzell, Angus...i'm not that far from my roots! I buy my tweed directly from small independent weave

rs on the islands of Lewis & Harris in the Outer Hebrides & therefore cannot be sure what stock is available at any time, I buy it as they weave it & they weave in small runs of each design/colour. I work on my own designing & creating in my home studio so there may be delays if an item is out of stock or needs to be made for you. My website has been almost cleared out again!
Large order of loo roll wraps went away on Friday & all my patchwork cushions have sold..there are a few thistle band cushion covers but the rest is school uniform. I will get cracking on more loo roll wraps soon as i have lots cut out ready but uniform season has started & that also takes up my machines!
