I love a crusty window like this. Most people will think it’s beyond it but with some careful tlc this 100 year old box sash window will come back to life. New sill and lower linings and heritage double glazing to come. Service and draught proofing and new furniture to be fitted.

New sash and big box frame splice needed on this very exposed window. Facing south west, it gets the full brunt of the weather. Sunlight is the killer of paint then the rot sets in. Nothing that can’t be repaired with the correct methods and care. Results to come

Another retro fit job… I’ve replaced the glass for 14mm slimlite double glazing, added extra lead weight to counterbalance the heavier glass and to allow full functionality and installed draught proofing. Eliminated condensation, noise, heat loss and draughts. Modernising the windows without loosing the character. Customer was very happy with the results.

Some very tall windows I worked on back in 2012. This was when I lived in Bristol where I’d come across all types of windows and where I cut my teeth. I started working with sash windows back in 1996 and started the business in 2007 and I still enjoy restoring and making them more user friendly to this day. Doing my part to preserve a bit of history.
