After a lot of careful consideration, we’ve decided that for the time being we won’t be launching a website just yet.

Instead, over the next 6–12 months we’ll be focusing on what we love most — meeting you in person — by returning to local markets in Ely, with plans to also attend Cambridge and Newmarket markets where possible.

This decision allows us to grow sustainably, test new pieces, and stay closely connected to our community before taking the next big step.

That said — we’re very much still open online 🙌
You can now find us on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, and we’ll be building toward opening a shop directly through our TikTok page.

If you’re looking for something specific in the meantime, feel free to message us on Instagram or Facebook — we’re happy to arrange payment and shipping directly.

📸 All current stock will be posted across all three platforms very soon, so keep an eye out.

Jambo! Swahili summers is a family born local business. Let’s introduce our founder - Jet! 👨🏽‍🦲

Kenyan born and British raised. He brings the energy of Africa with his bright colours, big smile and warm welcome. Although he enjoys life in England, there was always a bit of his heart that belonged back in his Motherland - Kenya.

His home is adorned with clothing and ornaments representing our families Kenyan roots steeped in Family, Nature and Happiness. We carry gratitude and joy into everything we do - always as a family. We embrace the land, and share this space with majestic animals, marvelling in the beauty of Nature.

Working with his family back in Nairobi, Jet is able to offer snippets of this unique heritage to all, opening up his Ely market (soon to be -back)
From authentic vibrant fabrics, intricate hand carved extraordinary household items, to hand painted one of a kind artwork, there is something for everyone and more.
