Stunning roller blinds for a beautiful new kitchen. These bespoke roller blinds were made for us by in this gorgeous Colefax & Fowler fabric called Artichoke Old Blue. The blinds have shiny brass chains with breakaway devices so that they comply with child safety legislation but can be long enough to reach over the kitchen counter.

A recent project we undertook was to create a pair of curtains with a relaxing feel in a main bedroom, and providing as much blackout as possible.
To assist with this, a blackout roller blind was fitted inside the recess, behind the curtains. This blind is Sevenoaks B/O Ashen from Signature collection.
The curtains are made from charisma storm velvet fabric from Hardy and they hang from a gorgeous Museum pole in antique silver from
The curtains are right to the floor and return to the wall on each side to prevent as much light seepage as possible. They are lined and interlined, with a pencil pleat heading.

Lined and interlined curtains with a pencil pleat heading, just breaking on the floor. The curtains hang from a black curtain pole with short collar finials owing to the lack of space between the beams. The fabric is from and is called Tiber (stripe) in fondant.

We have recently completed this new year project - new curtains and roller blinds for a kitchen / breakfast room. It’s lovely to have the option to have roller blinds made up in your bespoke fabric, especially when matching other soft furnishings in the same or an adjoining room.
This pretty fabric is from and made up the blinds for us.

Ten years ago today I bought this business from Elizabeth, who set up the business 30 years earlier. It started as a “working from home” enterprise, so that Liz could work around her young family.
By 2000 the business had grown to include a small team of staff and moved premises to Sindles Farm where we still are today. In 2015, when I purchased the business, that small team came with me.
I’m posting photos today of a project we finished just before Christmas. This is one of our most loyal customers who I inherited from Liz and who has stayed with us ever since. We made two wide pairs of curtains with triple pleat heading and a beautiful contrasting trim braid along the leading edges. The fabric is Clarke & Clarke Amalfi in palm colour way and the trim braid is Zanzibar from JLS. The curtain poles are black metal 32mm from Cameron Fuller.

Just before Christmas, we fitted these beautiful bay window Roman blinds. I’ve loved this fabric ever since the first time I saw it so it was a delight to have it on the table.
Our new customer had recently decorated the kitchen breakfast room and added the window seat. The seat cover had already been made (we can’t take credit for that) and is Clarke & Clarke Amalfi fabric so we went straight to the C&C fabric books to find a good match for the blinds.
This customer fell in love with my two black labs while they were in our workroom (who wouldn’t?!☺️) and even bought them a Christmas present (edible, of course, for labs!). We have another bay window to look forward to this year and also very much look forward to working with this customer again. Repeat business is so important to us, as is word of mouth.

We had fun making this blind at the end of summer last year. Lovely to combine a contrasting pompom with a stripe. Trimmings were certainly the order of the day for us in the last part of 2024. Keep your eyes peeled for more photos coming soon!

I haven’t put anything on Instagram for ages - very remiss of me. It doesn’t mean that we haven’t been working hard behind the scenes though! Time to start catching up with the last few months’ work.

These gorgeous curtains were hung at the end of the summer holidays last year. A new curved track was put up around this unusual semi-circular window and the curtains were measured to be about 3-4cm overlong. A lovely navy pompom trim complements the blue and white stripes perfectly.

Earlier this year I had the enormous privilege and excitement of becoming a grandma for the first time. Naturally, it was an absolute pleasure to be able to get involved in helping to prepare the nursery for Ralph Henry’s arrival.

It was a family affair, grandma’s business made the Roman blind and scatter cushion and great grandma made a walk hanging, floor play mat and a bag for the end of the cot.

Ralph arrived safely on 30th September weighing in at a healthy 9 lb 1.5 oz and we are looking forward to Christmas all together this year.

We have recently travelled a little further afield to hang these gorgeous curtains for some very good friends of mine who I met through a love of tennis 🎾. 23 years on and we still enjoy weekends together even though we have moved to different parts of the country now.

The fabric is Wilderness Topaz Cream from Voyage Maison, now under the Riva Home umbrella. The curtain poles and tie backs were sourced from Jones Interiors (tie backs from their Laura Ashley range). The curtains have a pencil pleat heading.
