Always so exciting when someone unexpected ‘appears’… I didn’t for a moment imagine I’d be producing something like this!! It obviously won’t be ready for Tavistock pottery market on Saturday and it could change substantially between now and at finished state 🧐 Westcountry Potters Assoc.

I’ll be at the Westcountry Potters’ market on Saturday 17th October at Butchers Hall, Tavistock - always so much lovely and unique work by many potters. I will be ‘debut’ing my different heads as well as my usual array of birds ! Do come along if you can. It’s such a happy occasion. Westcountry Potters Assoc.

NEW WORK

I needed to do something different and experiment a bit and I'm so pleased that this piece has worked so well - I have been playing with oxides/washes and adding small amounts of glaze detail. I have now produced two 'heads' - this first is 'Summer' with 'Autumn' going through the kiln this week. It should work well as a garden sculpture. Watch this space for the next one....... I do hope you like them.

If anyone is interested in me producing online tutorials for hand building small animals and birds with clay, I’d be really grateful if you could vote below? These would be available (hopefully) on my website for subscribers initially. Thanks for your time and effort! 💕
