While everyone is enjoying the colours of autumn, we're already thinking a little bit ahead...

These beautiful clematis seed heads have just gone into our drying room, where they'll spend the coming weeks carefully drying and preserving their unique shape and texture, ready to feature in festive designs later this year.

Introducing the Harvest Song Bouquet 🍂💐

Inspired by the colours and textures of the harvest season, Harvest Song brings together dried flowers, grasses and seed heads in a warm, richly layered arrangement.

Orange strawflowers provide the main floral colour, surrounded by sculptural nigella, fennel and poppy seed heads. Brown amaranthus and millet add depth and texture, while dyed dark brown oats create darker definition through the bouquet. Bright orange bunny tails introduce smaller points of colour, with a velvety pumpkin pick completing the autumn design.

Part of our Handmade, We Dried Our Best range, Harvest Song has a naturally gathered appearance while retaining a strong seasonal character. At approximately 50cm tall, the stems can be trimmed and styled to.

As the light changes, so does demand, amber, rust and copper tones are replacing summer brights across dried and preserved stock, and texture-led pieces are outperforming anything too polished right now.

What we're seeing move fastest this month:
🍂 Preserved beech and autumnal foliage — strong colour retention, versatile across arrangements and installations
🌾 Hazel and sculptural dried stems — good structural base for larger pieces, minimal wastage
🥀 Deep red preserved roses — reliable seasonal colour that holds well
🔵 Sea holly and protea — texture-forward options trending well into autumn ranges
