Today I got to be the student instead of the teacher, and it felt so good!

I spent the day at Melanie’s studio doing a one-day jewellery course and had the loveliest time. I made two pairs of earrings and a necklace — the necklace went to my mum (she gifted me the course for Christmas) and I made myself a matching pair of earrings.

It was such a joy to step away from pottery and teaching for the day and just learn, make mistakes, and enjoy being guided by someone else. I’ve always loved jewellery, and this reminded me how important it is to keep playing creatively.

Melanie was fantastic, the studio was beautiful, and I’ll definitely be back again ✨
