What makes a tiny heart print pattern feel so inviting?

Carina means cute in Italian and this print always reminds me of little hearts.

I loved making this drum lampshade in olive and pink and watching the pattern wrap so neatly around the frame.

I’ve been working on this new lino print in the studio and I made it into an empire lampshade.

I think the shape really suits this print. 🤍

I haven’t named this design yet. Some of my pattern names are inspired by my Italian heritage, but im stuck with this one.

I designed this Seaweed print fabric as a lino print and it’s been lovely using it for this cushion.

Do you have a favourite weekend walk that always inspires you ?

With the weekend here I’m already thinking about the walks along the tracks near home.

That’s where I first noticed the tiny daisies growing along the grass verges, the ones that inspired this lino print I carved by hand.

Each petal came from those small flowers I kept seeing on those quiet paths and it’s become one of my favourite prints to work with.

In this reel you see the shade both unlit and glowing. The pink fabric feels gentle when the light is off, and once it’s switched on it settles into the warmest cosy glow.

After a hectic day it’s the kind of light that makes the whole room feel more peaceful. A small moment of comfort from a print that began outdoors on those weekend walks.

This fabric print begain with a shell found on a Norfolk beach

This cushion started with a tiny shell I picked up on a walk near home. I carved it into a lino block and printed it onto fabric, then paired it with Italian velvet that had been waiting on my shelf.

It became a one off piece I made with my , sewing machine, that found its new home at a local event this summer.

After a busy season I’m looking forward to being back in the studio, carving, printing and stitching new designs.

Behind the scenes making a Seaweed print lampshade in a custom colourway.

I loved creating this gold Seaweed lampshade for a customer’s coastal home.

The room is inspired by warm gold tones and the lampshade colour needed to complement it.
