Couldn’t resist a wee visit to the florist wholesaler while was in Glasgow.

Today felt a wee bit surreal… being back at GCU, this time with a wee pop-up stall for my own small business 🥹💕

31 years ago, I graduated from GCU and went on to begin a 25-year career as an eye specialist — a career I absolutely loved and was incredibly proud of.

Unfortunately, an injury to my upper spine caused through my occupation brought that chapter of my life to an end much sooner than I ever expected.

Never in a million years would I have imagined that all these years later I’d be walking back through the doors of the university, not as an eye specialist, but as the owner of my own wee business, With love, Vikki x

I’m not going to lie, I felt really anxious this morning. I still grieve the loss of a career that was such a huge part of my life for so long, and being back there definitely brought a lot of those emotions to the surface.

But I did it. And actually… it was absolutely fine. ❤️

Sometimes life takes you down a completely different path from the one you thought you’d be on. Today felt like two very different chapters of my life meeting each other for a wee moment.
