Apologies for being so quiet on here, but I've literally hit a bump in the road.

Don't panic as all will be well, but I had a car accident nearly 2 wks ago. I am now working through some injuries and really hope to make at least a partial return to the workshop soon.

This has not come at the best time as I have a busy summer of amazing events planned. Luckily I have some finished work squirrelled away for my first event which I will share with you soon.

So looking forward to being covered in sawdust again soon and to being able to catch up with my lovely customers and fellow artists. For the time being you will be finding me jumping between my Merlin Bird Id app to learn the songs of my garden birds,Auto Trader to find a replacement car and enjoying dog cuddles.

Please message in meantime if you want to visit my studio of completed work as I can get someone to come and open up for me.

I am back from my break, and have been quietly working away to restock after an amazing event back in May. The studio is now full of lots of lovely new pieces if you fancy a wee trip to Falkland Estate to visit me.

Tonight's commission is one that I created for a lovely friend. She was looking for a unique gift for her sister's special birthday. She selected a Yew clock then asked me to personalise it with a butterfly and her sister's favourite soprano aria from Madama Butterfly.

This bespoke bookcase in live edge burr Elm was created last year for a lovely couple in Falkland. The wood for the piece all came from the same tree allowing me to pattern match the live edge on the shelves.

I have downed tools for a few weeks, but thought that rather than annoying you all with beach pics I would share some of my commissions.

One of my favourite projects last year was this commision/collaboration with the Howe Beer Project. Kevin and Julia were looking for a way to celebrate their founding members. I etched the barley from their logo onto fabulous burred Elm from the East Neuk, and member names are inserted into the barley spikelets.

If you have not discovered this gem in the Howe of Fife yet I can't recommend it highly enough. It is a taproom, event space, microbrewery with community very much at the heart of all they do.

The special delivery signs I dropped off on Monday are now up and looking great.
You will see them if you visit Pillars of Hercules Organic Farm on Falkland Estate, and why would you not. As well as the farm shop and plant sale, you can sit in amazing surroundings enjoying lunch or a cheeky coffee and cake.

I love working with local businesses and it was such a pleasure to work with the team at Pillars helping to bring their new branding to life.

Final day of Open Studios North Fife. Sun is out and swallows are chattering away overhead.
Still lots to see at venues 9 and 10, and of course you can treat yourself at Pillars of Hercules Organic Farm and cafe on the way past.
