We have had a brilliant start to Joe Morris’ new exhibition in the gallery space - have you popped in to see it yet?! 🎨

Joe’s artwork is both ancient and contemporary, drawing upon pre-history and universal geometry to create art which occupies a realm somewhere between painting and sculpture.

Tadelakt lime plaster has been used in Morocco for centuries as a decorative wall covering. Joe has developed his own unique techniques to create artworks using this ancient material, subtly blending pigments and carving into the surface to create the image.

Oh hello? It’s me? 👀

My lovely social media lady seems determined to put me front and centre of this page!

I’m much more comfortable celebrating the other artisans whose work we stock in Inspire Makers, but whenever I can find spare time, I’m creating fused glass homewares in my studio. Which are sold under the name Article Glass on the website. ⚡

My favourite pieces to make are these little stem vases. 🌷

It’s been a big year already for our artisan shop in Cornwall, and we’re searching for new artists and makers to welcome - could it be you? We are especially keen to introduce some new brilliant printmakers, raku and soda fired pottery, and unusual jewellery! 🎨

Submitting your work to independent shops and galleries can feel like a real chore (especially when you’d rather be creating) so we’re going to make it as simple as possible.

If you are based in Cornwall, and feel a kinship with our Inspire Makers ethos of supporting local creatives and offering unique wares, we’d love to hear from you.

Simply leave a comment on this post, with a picture of your work and a short sentence about you.

We are looking for something we don't currently have so please check the selection on the website before applying!

What a fabulous first week of our new exhibition by Benita Vivian! 🎉

Benita is a Cornwall-based artist working primarily in acrylic and mixed media.

She is best known for her aerial-view paintings, which explore coastal scenes from above. 🏊🏻‍♀️

Benita’s work focuses on beaches, swimmers, and paddle-boarders, with backgrounds that emphasise the mood, movement, and energy of each scene.

The paintings perfectly capture summer moments through texture and colour. ☀

Pop in and see the exhibition in Falmouth, it’s on display until the 22nd August! See you soon. 👋

Meet Sharon! Her miniature, wearable works of art are beautiful, and a favourite of ours in the shop. 🎉

Texture and surface pattern are Sharon’s passion. She combines copper & brass to create colour contrasts then uses etching, embossing & hammering to create unique surfaces.

A leaping copper hare under a crescent moon, featuring a tiny toadstool. 🌙

Amanda’s work is hand fabricated using traditional tools and techniques, often from recycled materials and found items.

Her miniature sculptures are whimsical one-of-a-kinds, and very special.
