Ondine Ash was raised by the river Dart in Devon, before moving to London at the age of 21 to work in the fashion industry. After thirteen years working as a fashion buyer, Ondine’s curiosity to know where and by whom products are made from seed to garment drove her to set up her own brand that focuses on transparency and a movement away from fast, throw-away fashions. Today, she uses her knowledg

e of international sourcing and manufacturing to produce goods that are made fairly and responsibly. Her designs are inspired by travels in Central America and time spent living in Japan, and by the beautiful British landscape she grew up immersed in.

Our greenhouse of a shop has been warming up over the past week or so, with plenty of light pouring through our large glass windows and the plants responding well, if a little thirsty 🌱

This is part two of our house plant guide, focusing on the succulents and cacti we keep and sell in the shop 🌵

A good option if you travel often, forget the odd watering, or want a low maintenance succulent for a wonderfully verdant home

These plants are happy to go a week or two without water and don’t ask for much, making them easy to look after day to day

We’ve chosen a mix of our most popular and more unusual varieties, along with a few straightforward tips to help keep them healthy or bring them back if they’ve been a little neglected…
Tip. Surprisingly succulents also prefer bright, indirect light rather than strong, direct sun

Swipe through for simple guidance on placement, care and receiving the most from your plants this spring and summer

These are the plants that continue to do well in our light filled, double fronted shop and the ones that many of you come back for time and time again

We hope you find our guide useful, please share with a friend if so 🌿

You can shop handmade plant pots, planters and plant care via the link in our bio, all made by our handpicked artisan makers xx

Maker Monday x Francli 🤎

This April we are so pleased to introduce Francli, a good friend, artist and maker, now joining our Falmouth shelves. It feels very special to be first Falmouth stockist and to share Francli’s wonderful work with you

A brilliant addition to our Falmouth shop and to your livelihoods also :-)

From Francli’s Argal Home Farm studio, situated outside Falmouth, Francli and her small team of skilled women artisans design and hand make hardy canvas and fine leather goods

Each piece is carefully constructed using dry waxed cotton canvas woven in Dundee, oak bark leather tanned in Devon and re-purposed climbing rope sourced from vintage stock

Practical, enduring and stylish, these are pieces made for everyday use, for work and for wandering

From the well loved multi-use lanyards (even doubling up as an emergency dog lead!) to the Ditty Rucksack and Tool Totes, everything is built to last and made with functional purpose, encouraging both work and play

In Falmouth you can find:
. XL Tool Totes and Tool Bucket Bags in ‘Field + Sand’ and ‘Black’
. Ditty Bag in ‘Field + Gold’ and ‘Black’ (coming soon)
. Climbing Rope Lanyards and Keyrings in ‘Black + Lichen’

Pieces online soon! We can’t wait for you to see, feel and style them. They are simply beautiful 🤎🤎

This month, we’ve welcomed a spring collection from long time favourite Bristol maker and potter

A delivery of well loved pieces alongside a new limited edition colourway, Caramel, crafted exclusively for our shop and already proving very popular with you 🤍

The Caramel palette leans into soft sunset pinks and warm syrup tones, reminiscent of British childhood summers and Neapolitan ice cream

These gorgeous pieces are easy to place in the home and designed for everyday use, with several pieces already finding their way to collectors homes

For those new to Ondine Ash, many of our makers work in small seasonal batches. We receive Liz’s collections in spring and autumn

If you’ve had your eye on something, now is a good time to take a look, with butter dishes, oil pourers, large tea mugs and salt pigs all just in

It’s been a little while since we last shared what’s new in our Falmouth shop. The shop shelves have been quietly filling with beautiful handmade wares from our wonderful makers

Most of these pieces arrived just last week, from many of your long time favourites. There’s something rather special about unpacking them one by one and finding each piece with its own unique details

We’ve welcomed a new collection from Liz Vidal, including a fresh colourway, a soft, chalky pink, a gentle companion to our much loved rust

And the butter dishes… we’re completely taken with them

Each one feels like a small work of art 🤍

A few of these pieces haven’t yet made their way online, so if something catches your eye, do send us a message and we’ll happily post it out to you

Newly arrived in small thoughtful batches:

– Harvest (your favourite black cardamom has returned)– La Luna (we simply can’t keep these in stock)– Pip Hartle (beautiful blue pieces, already finding their homes)– Linen Tales (French linen oven mitts and warm ochre napkins)– Ambrose Vevers (the much loved scorched ash spatula is back again)– Francli (more to come soon, now stocking Falmouth made recycled climbing rope key chains)

Thanks for your support this Easter :-)
We’d love to see you soon xx

We are running low on a handful of artisan favourites in our Falmouth shop and online, these best selling pieces have very limited quantities available 👁️

Our makers work in small batches, so once these goods sell out, it can take a little while for new collections to arrive. We truly wouldn’t have it any other way :-)

This does mean you may have to wait a while to get your hands on something you have been admiring…

Or you can get the last pieces now

An ode to slow living 🤎

SWIPE for a gentle nosy of our current stock levels and last in pieces

Available online and in store

Our web shop and Falmouth store share the same stock, so quantities may change from time of posting ✦ ✧ ⋆

Pieces available while stocks last

Two weeks ago, while doing a little research for our half term post, we saw that Google reported 93% of hotels in Falmouth and the surrounding areas were fully booked for Easter. 🥚

Today certainly proved it. We haven’t seen Falmouth this busy since Christmas :-)

Thank you so much to everyone who came in and supported us. We really appreciate your patience while Jen carefully packed your orders and worked through our new till system — which is very much a work in progress

It was, in every sense, a wonderful day. We very nearly sold out of pieces, despite a generous delivery hand delivered only last month

So many of Pip’s beautiful works found new homes too. This included pieces from our most recent spring delivery, which arrived just last Thursday and is exclusive to Ondine Ash
hartle you will be pleased to know your new large tea mugs have been very well received xx

If you are hoping to pick up a piece from Pip, Annabel, or any of our other talented potters, along with hand carved utensils or soft linens from our artisan makers, do pop in next week

We will be open again in Falmouth
Tuesday 7th April 11am

See you soon loves x
