I am Cornish, a designer and creative artist and I would like to share with you my passion for my unique and inspiring home ... Cornwall. I lived away from Cornwall for 14 years but now that I’m back where I belong, I feel totally connec
ted to the diverse landscape. I love the ever-changing skies, the wild and rugged coastline, the amazing diversity of plants and dramatic weather conditions that make no two days the same. Few places have as many facets as Cornwall, the amazing contrasts from sunny sandy coves and sheltered creeks to the wild and lonely moors shrouded in Cornish mist. Childhood memories recall rock-pooling, paddling in the surf, feeling free and totally relaxed. This is a special and magical place that can have a profound effect on people and linger in the memory for a lifetime and call them back here year after year. This blog is inspired by the Cornish landscape and the colours and moods it evokes. I want to share with you a range of colour palettes drawn directly from this captivating place. Each of my photographs has been taken in Cornwall; the images are random shots taken from places that I love or that have inspired me. From each image I have taken five colours to create a palette of complementary shades. Each palette will build into a portfolio of Cornwall inspired mood boards. These mood boards are designed to inspire you in your own choices when styling your home. The colours work together perfectly because they are natural and organic. By using these shades when you are re-designing your own interiors, you too could have a little bit of Cornwall in your home.
