Still plenty to do to these- next up painting…

Now that I’m happy with the designs I’ll be making lots and lots of each throughout the next couple of months.

Today though… table runner printing.

Soooooo close!!!!

But oh my goodness the backlash is the house is an increasing muddle and I’m trying to prepare for Christmas in the increasing chaos and fielding flights of questions/ problems that come with final stage builds.

Life has also been lifing so fracture clinic with youngest has featured- and sourcing a car… which takes so blooming long. Thankfully decision made now so we only have to squabble over the van for another few weeks… luckily b and I are off for a change of scenery this weekend which is needed but badly timed as much of the build finishing is down to us! Hey ho… next week it’ll be different 🤞🏻

I always feel abit nervous when I’ve finished a lino block as I’m never quite sure how it will print.

I suspect this will need a little more working into so all the elements can sing but I’m erring on the side of caution and stopping carving now (because you can always take more out but you can’t put it back once it’s gone!!!)

Studio update and general rant about the lack of stairs!

The plan is that when the floors are laid up there (should be finished by end of Tuesday), the plumbers can move back in and install the sink… then as soon as THE STAIRS are installed we can move my furniture and kit in and I can get going… if the skirting and banisters and electrics aren’t finished that’s fine- they can work around me but I am ITCHING to get in so that my Christmas prep period is straight forward and I’ll finally have some space to work in!!!

*Hats off to Billy who is working around the clock, painting, tiling and building elements to get it over the line… (if only all the other strands were running as smoothly!!!)

For the last three years my mum has taken her annual holiday at the beginning of October which means Toby dog packs his bags and comes to us.

So far this visit we’ve mainly had beautiful autumnal walks which has been great.

Other news, another trip to A&E yesterday- the joys of being a rugby mum… another broken bone to add to the list. I’m on nursing duties today.
