A beautiful kitchen is great. A beautiful kitchen that actually works for you is even better! 😉

September was a busy month for bespoke furniture projects, and kitchen design is always one of our favourite challenges.

It’s not just about making everything fit. It’s about using the space properly, getting the layout and workflow right, making sure there’s enough storage and worktop space, and even tailoring the dimensions to the people who will use the kitchen every day.

The result? A kitchen that is practical, comfortable and functional - and, of course, looks beautiful too!

A little behind-the-scenes look at one of our bathroom projects. 🛁

The tiles are now in, the plumbing is ready, and the bathroom is really starting to take shape. There’s still grouting, sanitaryware, brassware and all the finishing touches to come, but you can already see the design coming together.

One detail to look out for in the video - the shower niches have been positioned so that they line up precisely with the grout lines.

It may seem like a small detail, but this is exactly the kind of thing that needs a lot of thought and planning before the tiles even go on the wall. Tile sizes, grout lines, niches, fittings and plumbing all need to work together.

These details might not be the first thing you notice when the bathroom is finished, but when they’re not right, you definitely notice!

Does your room still feel like something is missing… even though you’ve bought all the furniture? 👀

You’ve painted the walls.
You’ve got the sofa.
The coffee table is in.
The flooring is done.

But somehow… it still doesn’t feel finished.

So, let me ask you:

Did you put a rug down?
Did you add curtains or blinds?
Is your lighting more than just one ceiling light?
Have you got something on the walls?
Are there different textures in the room?
Did you add some greenery? 🌿
Are your accessories actually connected to the rest of the room?
And most importantly… does the room feel like YOU?

Because these little things can make a HUGE difference.

A beautiful sofa on its own doesn’t make a room feel finished.

It’s the layers around it that bring everything together.

And sometimes… it’s not about adding more.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is take something away. 😉

This restaurant project is almost ready for its grand opening, and we’re so excited to see the final result come together!

We’ve been working behind the scenes to transform the space into an interior that reflects the brand, creates the right atmosphere and gives customers an experience they’ll remember.

The final touches are going in now… and the grand opening is coming soon! 🎉

50 shades of… pink! 💟

Pink seems to be becoming a growing interior trend. We’re seeing more and more powder-pink kitchen displays, dusty-pink walls and pink-toned bathroom tiles.

It’s also becoming one of the most popular colour choices among our clients, either replacing the greys that dominated interiors until recently or being beautifully combined with them.

Before ➡️ After

Not everyone knows that Blend Up Interiors is about more than just interior design.

We also create bespoke cushions, curtains, bench seating and breathe new life into existing furniture through professional reupholstery.

This chair belonged to a lovely friend of ours who had just rebranded her office. The bright red upholstery no longer matched her new colour palette, so instead of replacing it, we transformed it with a beautiful vintage-inspired fabric in warm yellow tones.

The result? A completely new look for a chair she already loved. 💛

Sometimes all it takes is the right fabric to make an old favourite feel brand new.

At Blend Up Interiors, summer means taking our creativity outside too! Alongside our interior projects, we're busy making bespoke outdoor cushions, bench seats, sun lounger cushions and made-to-measure covers to help our clients enjoy their gardens in comfort and style.

The last two weeks have certainly kept our sewing machines busy:
✔️ 42 bespoke outdoor cushions made
✔️ Our very first custom sun lounger cushions
✔️ Hundreds of metres of fabric sent to customers for their own creative projects

We also have a fantastic range of outdoor fabrics in stock, ready for your next project - whether you'd like us to create something bespoke or you're planning a DIY makeover.
