Day 2 of and the star of the show has been my Night Lights shawl by Andrea Mowry..
Sometimes, you pick a pattern and a yarn combination that is so perfect it just takes your breath away!
I can honestly say I enjoyed every stitch of this shawl. The colours are so bright and zingy, they stop just short of garish..and the slip stitch mosaic shows off the contrast perfectly. I can’t wait to wrap myself up in this shawl as soon as the weather gets cooler.
I’ve knit this in ‘always fabulous’ Schoppel Wolle.. I used 1 ball of Zauberball Stärke 6 in 2728 Boygroup and 3 balls of Stärke 6 Brüder in 2705 Gerhard.. you can see it on display at stand C5 today and there are yarn kits on my website now.

Morning .. the North Yorkshire yarn trail is now well underway and as a newbie I’m chuffed to have handed out so many passports..
so what’s happening at hoop..
we have the gorgeous hand dyed yarn from Beehive yarns,
There’s a raffle in aid of st Gemma’s hospice and you could win a whole box of Rowan Yarn
Then on Sunday it’s the trail knit and natter from 12-3.. it’s free, just pitch up with your knitting

This weekend sees the heritage festival at Sunny Bank Mills and you might have noticed they have secured some lottery funding for their Dyevolution project - an opportunity to research some historic natural dye ledgers found during the mill renovation.
I now have in stock some absolutely beautiful, contemporary, naturally dyed yarn from Lang Yarns.
Dyed with Madder, Indigo, logwood, henna and more, there is a wonderful array of colours on a butter soft merino base.. this yarn is drop dead gorgeous and the pattern support is pretty good too. 😍
If you are coming to the festival this weekend, you can stroke this beautiful yarn in person as we will have it all on display with a festival discount too.

New start to the week! A massive Thankyou to everyone who shopped the sale over the weekend 👏🙌.. there’s still lots left though… Will and I are away seeing my retailers in Wales this week, but the gorgeous Karen is in the shop today and Friday.. closed Wednesday and Thursday.
