My first proper knitting project is (finally) finished!
•
I’ve always wanted to learn to knit, but could never commit and found it too hard every time I tried even a simple knit stitch. So, for my new year’s resolution I decided to give it a proper go and safe to say, I sussed it out!
•
I used the same planning process I have used before when crocheting jumpers; 2 squares, 2 ‘tubes’ and some ribbing, and did some research on how to do this in knitting.
•
I’m so proud of myself lowkey, I’ve always wanted to be able to knit my own jumpers, and now I’m excited to make another I’m obsessed! Considering the yarn I used has a wool %, it is WARM. Maybe not the best idea to give it its debut on the hottest day of the year so far. Lesson learnt :/

I used 2 different shades of Hobbycraft’s “Leader of the Pac” yarn, held double with Hobbycraft’s “Tiny friends” in the shades that matched it closest. I think the slight variation in colour between the two strands gives it such a cool look! I also used 12mm interchangeable needles with a 80cm cord the body and a 25(??) cm cord for the cuffs.
