The first of the sample glazes for our Bowls for our Banbury Breadline Christmas fundraiser are out of the kiln 😁

Breadline Project

The first bowls will be bisque fired later this week and we will release glazing sessions next week.

We’ll be inviting people to come in and glaze bowls.

All the bowls have been hand thrown here in Fenny Compton.

A £10 donation to Banbury Breadline Project will be made from each bowl that is glazed - you also get to keep your own uniquely glazed stoneware bowl too.

We have set a target to raise £500.00 for the project. Look out for the workshops coming soon.

I just love slipped terracotta tableware.

Two of our regular potters recently spent a week in Cornwall with Richard Phethean who originally taught me to throw pots 20 years ago 🕰️

It’s been such a pleasure to fire the first of a number of pieces made at his studio near Penzance it’s inspired me to get planning some terracotta days next year.

I took a little trip to William Blythe tile works today for some big throwing with Gabriel Nichols.

Importantly for me I’ve got the hedgehog house sorted. Time to start the hedgehog village.
