So my ability couldn’t cashin the cheque my mouth ran last week. It didn’t go well when it came to it and I ruined the fairytale drawing…not to worry. I didn’t like the composition anyway. Now I feel it works more in harmony and…I’ll do this in charcoal. Save the pens for portraits.

From first draft to a better version of the idea of my next piece. Going for something with a little bit of magic in it this time. I want a strong contrast between light and dark …it’ll really add to the theme. I’m still unsure about the overall composition of the drawing, but I’m just going to roll with it. I’ll be doing this in pen again, but adding more colours this time (not just blue). I’m already getting anxious because it could quite easily go wrong 😑

My next one..Audrey Hepburn. Quite an interesting woman in her time. A diamond in the rough! Some dark back stories which is what I’m all about! Beginning stages of just drawing it out. I downsized from my last drawing to see if I can create better tones. I’ve also picked different paper. Lets wait and see ✌🏼

Lake of Fire was a live cover performed in 1993 by Nirvana. The song simplifies the concept of the afterlife, with “bad folks” going to a lake of fire after death. Kurt Cobain’s music was often both harmonious and chaotic…a great balance of light and dark that reflected something universal in all of us. We all battle our inner voice, and it’s clear that Kurt did as well when you look into his history. This is available. Just me a message and let’s talk✌🏼. Pen on Bristol paper, 33x27cm
