✨ September is looking a little quieter for EVC… and for once, that’s intentional! 🕯️🤍

I still have one event TBC, but even with that to come, it’s definitely a quieter month for me — and I’m absolutely okay with that!

September is a big month personally for us this year, with our eldest son competing in swimming 🏊‍♂️ and our eldest daughter heading off to university 🎓💛. Plus ‘Mr Ratchet’ has a September birthday 🥳. So I’ve intentionally tried not to book too much and give us a little more time for these moments.

But I’ll still be out and about, and I’d love to see some familiar faces (and meet some new ones!) along the way. 🥰

The reality of market life…

We’re in a lovely location today, the sun is shining but the footfall has been low. It’s definitely not just us either – lots of traders are saying the same.

So what’s your theory? 🤔

⚽ Is everyone recovering from the football last night?
☀️ Is it simply too hot to be out browsing?
🤷🏻‍♀️Or is it just one of those unpredictable market days?

One thing we’ve learned is that no two markets are ever the same. One weekend can be brilliant, the next can be surprisingly slow, even in a lovely venue.

Thankfully, this year has been so much better for us than last year overall, so we’re staying positive. Markets aren’t just about the sales on the day – they’re about getting our name out there, meeting lovely customers, catching up with familiar faces and reminding people we’re here. Those conversations often turn into online orders later on.

That’s the reality of running a small business. You keep showing up, even on the quieter days, because you never know who’ll discover you.

We’re back at our monthly market with the lovely 🤍

We’ve got a different setup today… we’ve bagged a corner pitch (the ultimate market spot! 🙌), so come and say hello.

You’ll find us here until 4pm, opposite our lovely friends with all their amazing sublimation goodies, and where the giant cakes are guaranteed to tempt you! 🍰✨

We’re all set up and ready for Crewe Day with lovely 🎉 Come and say hello – there are loads of amazing local traders here, so it’s set to be a great day out 🛍️✨

It’s also the maiden voyage for our gorgeous new sign, handcrafted by from reclaimed wood 💚 We wanted something rustic and full of character, and it’s absolutely perfect! 🌿🪵

And if you can’t spot us straight away with all our signage… apparently you can smell us from around the corner! 😂 Our candles and essential oil goodies are definitely making their presence known!
