Date for your diary:
Sunday 20th September, 10:00 - Bearded Iris bare root sale
We will be opening the studio at 10:00 for you.

We are currently lifting and splitting the plants in the field. Any surplus we are going to be selling off to you guys for £2 per plant. Some varieties maaaay have lost their labels in the field so we’ll also be doing some lucky dip bags of between 10-15 assorted plants for £10.

Same deal as the dahlia tubers - sold as seen, prices are kept low because we are not a specialist and these are our surplus stock. We just can’t bring ourselves to hurl them on the compost heap.

All plants have been in the ground here for three years and will be a mix of sizes and shapes, colours and heights. Will do our best to label them all - however no guarantee we are perfectly accurate 🤣🙈

Any questions please message or comment below.

After a glorious iris open day earlier this month hosted by Wholesale Perennial Nursery we’ve finally had some rain, meaning we can lift and split the bearded iris. These gals have been in the ground for 3 years. Meaning they’re a bit bald in the middle, there’s a bit of rot and a lot of crowding.

Following what we learnt from Christine and the fab team at Howard’s it’s being put into practice and the splitting has begun. What a satisfyingly neat job they look like afterwards!

We will absolutely have spares, so it’s highly likely we’ll be selling off some of the surplus much like our dahlia tuber sale. Details to follow if you fancy a bearded lady for your garden!

Ps. They’re tough as old boots and very drought tolerant

It feels dangerously early to say this: but our Christmas workshop dates are now live for booking.

Lots of you have been asking at PYO Saturdays and a few messages and emails have come in. So. Dates have been posted and workshops are available to book. Last year we were heavily booked by around the end of September so if you’ve got a gaggle of friends and fancy booking as a gang then start looking at your diaries now. We know how difficult it is to get everyone together in one place at one time!

All foliage provided for you. We have a large wood on the farm meaning that we are able to source all our own foliage sustainably and from less than 2miles from the studio!

All items are compostable or reusable and we don’t have any single use plastics, no queuing for a glue gun (in fact no glue gun at all!) and small groups to ensure you can all be guided and helped wherever needed.

Book online - link in bio - DM with any questions xx

Last weekend we were invited by the beautiful Pamela-Anne Cryer to be a part of her gorgeous hen do at the stunning Bilsington Priory

We set up a jam jar bar and did a quick demo for the girls to understand how best to make an arrangement, including tips for shape, texture, structure and colours. Then the ladies were armed with their snips and jars and let loose on the flowers.

A beautiful day celebrating a beautiful moment in time.

Thank you for asking us to be a part of it Pam. Wishing you both nothing but joy for your wedding day and a long and happy marriage xx

Congratulations to E&F who had a beautiful wedding this weekend. What a day for it!

Last year the girl gang came to the farm to learn how to do their own wedding flowers. We went through all the different techniques and mechanics, discussed shape, colour and form and then after some demos it was time for them to have a go.

After the workshop we were tasked with creating the bouquets and buttonholes whilst the bridal party came for a wedding PYO for their venue and church flowers. The bride gave us specific direction for the flowers she wanted to be included in her bouquet and those for the bridesmaids and buttonholes. We ensured we cut the right stems to match the PYO buckets whilst using the specific varieties requested for the bridal party flowers.

Here’s a sneaky few shots of big day. And aren’t they stunning. Can’t wait to see what they did with our flowers for the church and reception!

Congratulations you guys. You rocked it 🤍
