Last night my partner and I were invited to to celebrate their 1st birthday and what a lovely evening it was!
We spent the night surrounded by such a great crowd. Judging by the snippets of conversation floating around, we all seemed to form the unofficial Carly/Coterie fan club! It was so nice hearing how everyone first met Carly or discovered The Coterie.
For me, that was October 2025, shortly after she took over Anna's Tea Room, when I hired the space for my first calligraphy workshop. We hit it off straight away and it's been so fun watching her put her own stamp on what is now The Coterie while I pop in to paint her windows or boards, or for a quiet little laptop lunch.
Also worth noting (as someone who takes their new puppy absolutely everywhere!) they are very dog-friendly, I think we were actually in trouble last night for not bringing him! Shout out Louisa 🤭
Carly and the whole Coterie team strive to create a warm, welcoming and safe place for absolutely everyone - nailed it!
