Would you believe this summer house transformation is now TWO YEARS OLD? 👀
We wanted to see how Cuprinol Garden Shades actually held up after real British weather… not just how it looked on day one.
Two years later and honestly? It’s held up incredibly well.
✔️ Strong colour retention
✔️ Very little fading
✔️ No major peeling or cracking
✔️ Still looking fresh and protected
The only areas needing a bit of maintenance were the horizontal surfaces where water naturally sits longer.
A good reminder that prep really is everything when it comes to exterior woodcare.

One tired old summer house brought back to life 🌿
We’ve just released a new transformation project using Cuprinol Garden Shades in Wild Thyme and the results completely changed the look of this garden space.
The project included prep, sanding and repainting to give the summer house a full refresh ready for summer.
This is part one of a two-part series and next week we’ll be revisiting it two years later to see how the finish has actually held up over time.

If your fence is looking grey and tired, this is why 👇
Cleaner and reviver are not the same thing and using the right one makes all the difference.
Step 1 Clean it
We used Barrettine Knockout Mould and Mildew Cleaner
This removes mould, algae and all the green grime from the surface
Give it a good scrub, keep it damp for around 20 minutes, then rinse off
You will be left with clean wood… but still grey
Step 2 Revive it
We used Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel
This actually restores the wood, bringing the natural colour back through
Apply, leave for around 20 minutes, then rinse
The transformation is instant
Cleaner removes the dirt
Reviver brings the wood back to life
If you are planning to oil, stain or paint your fence, this step makes a huge difference to the final finish. Let it dry for at least 48 hours before coating.
