Understanding the difference between wet and dry wood is essential for an efficient and safe fire 🔥

Dry Wood:
✅ Burns hotter and more efficiently
✅ Lower particulate emissions
✅ Helps protect your stove
✅ Below 20% moisture content, 10–15% is ideal

Wet Wood:
❌ Excess smoke and pollution
❌ Wastes heat
❌ Causes soot and tar build-up
❌ Above 20% moisture content

Using the right fuel makes a significant difference to performance, air quality, and the lifespan of your stove. To ensure your wood fuel has a moisture content of below 20% look for the logo when buying your fuel.

Before and After 🔥

Our customer had removed everything and prepared the recess for us.

We then came in and fitted twin wall flue system, tiled the recess with brick slips and fitted a slate hearth.
Finished with a Woodwarm Stoves Pheonix 6kw.

The boys were down south this week completing their pellet stove course with Jøtul.

We will now be supplying and installing a range of pellet stoves from Jotul. 🔥

If you are interested in any of these products please get in touch, We will also have the Jotul PF 711 on display in the coming weeks.

Replacing old gas fire with a new stove. 🔥

We removed the old gas fire, opened up the old fireplace and replaced with cement board. New slate hearth fitted with a Portuguese limestone mantelpiece.

Finished of with a Woodwarm Stoves Pheonix 5kw burner. 🪵🔥
