The Wedding Ball is the brainchild of local Nurse & Mum of 2 Lorna Skelly, Who herself suffered from Ovarian Cancer, As a thankyou for all the support and help Lorna Recieved from The Eve Appeal and to raise awareness of Ovarian Cancer The Wedding Ball was born. Funky Discos already had expertise in all these areas, Nikis Bar of Galashiels came on board to help out. Selkirk Pipe Band also stepped
up and donated their services, aswell as many other local trades and businesses. Started in 2011 to raise funds and awareness for the eve appeal in aid of Ovarian Cancer. 2011 was a huge success beyond expectations. It's the one night when brides, bridesmaids, grooms etc can their wedding attire, when we know a bride usually only gets to wear her wedding dress once. We therefore invite you to join us for a special night. Come along and enjoy a glass of bubbly on entrance, a buffet, fantastic entertainment , Funky Discos. As well as on the evening prize draws too, and much more. this fantastic night out is like no other in the Scottish Borders.
