Another stunning transformation on an absolutely fantastic hand made kitchen in Alnwick this week.
For all it has been well made, time had tired the eggshell paint making it look way past its best, origional painted cream larder cabinetry and and green island have been stripped back and sprayed Farrow and Ball - Strong white, giving a very modern,l clean look the dark wooden shelving was also sprayed to match in which also help lighten up this north facing kitchen.

Yet another hand painted oak kitchen and untility brought back to life, this one sprayed in Farrow and Ball - Treron with an eggshell finish, very fitting colour for the style of the kitchen.
Everyone very happy with the transformation, me included!

Back from holiday and back with a bang.

Same old story though, unfortunately. Delaminating doors, not a kitchen this time, a dressing room instead with the heaviest mirrored doors I've ever came across.

Familiar strip, repair, primer, lots of primer and paint, using Coat - Naptime in satin.

Amazing transformation taking the units from gloss black to subtle and classy and the dressing table sprayed to match.

Another week, another absolute belta, or so I thought! We do love a challenge mind...
Stunning hand made country style kitchen that had been unfortunately hand painted, twice!
We all know the routine, full strip out and get busy with the sander, usually straightforward but this bu**er became what my nightmares are made of.
It had had virtually no prep between its origional paint and its second one, especially around the mouldings and trims so a one week job turned into two, thats what it took to get it right so thats what it got.
Finished job looks outstanding, sprayed in Little Greene - Slaked Lime dark in eggshell.
And the utility done to match too.

Two smaller jobs this week, close to home for a change too!
John and Linda literally live at the end of my street in Ryton. Their kitchen may be few years old but it is still very functional and solid, the doors where in a bit of a sad state and getting worse by the day from water getting in the joints. Unfortunately the type of door was never really going to last because of so many joints for the water to get into the mdf under the vinyl coating. Anyway, lots of filler, sanding and primer later, the doors where flat, solid and looking ready for a coat of paint, Little Greene - Clay in satin.
And we weren't finished there either. The benches where swollen at the joints, again, water getting into the chipboard. Repaired the benches and used something new, Infinity Spray Granite ,and didnt it come up trumps.
Brand new seamless benches in Himalayan granite with a satin finish. Solid, seamless and so bloody effective.
Huge transformation of an older kitchen without the massive upheaval of replacing it.
Next up, a trip over the Tyne to Wylam, wardrobes this time. Katherine and her family had been moved in 4 weeks and contact me literally after they signed on the dotted line.
Nice and straightforward, Katherine knew what she wanted, Farrow and ball - Stiffkey Blue, a colour there where very familiar with from previous homes.
Anyway, very straightforward again, dorrs stripped off and cabinets prepped and painted that morning, bacn to the spray booth to do the doors on the afternoon and refitted the following morning.

Seems to be a bit of a trend going at the minute then... "my kitchen is brown and i hate it...". Heres three from the past few weeks that have been given a new lease of life, and at a fraction of the cost of replacing.

First one went from oak to silent white.

Second one is literally a second hand oak kitchen that has had green mdf panels, cornice and pellets added up in Berwick, main kitchen in oval room blue with the fridge sprayed to match, and the island in studio green.

Third one was an airb+b in widdrington station sprayed in French grey.

All looking brand new and pretty dapper.

Another fantastic transformation carried out in Low Fell.
First went to look at this one as the new benches where being fitted and a steel frame added to support the double sided display units above the counter, thankfully all was complete when we went back for the respray.
Pretty straightforward job, new handles had been fitted so the old holes where to be filled, and also the excess holes inside the display cabinets too so they could be sprayed and have a cleaner look to them.
From solid wood to Farrow and Ball - Elephants breath in an eggshell finish. This one was a pleasure to do, and the finished job speaks for itself, from dated and dark to light and airy in 4 days.

How's this for a complete transformation?

Lost for words on this one to be honest, possibly the best kitchen I've done yet!
20 or so year old kitchen given a fantastic new lease of life, the kitchen units and doors matched to B&Qs Antique Rose, and then there's the benches....

Infinity Spray Granite benches and tile upstands, complete with holographic flakes, definitely a one of a kind!!!
